American entrepreneur George Kurtz, the CEO of the cyber security firm CrowdStrike, has become “a co-owner” of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and has been appointed Technology Advisor. The deal comes as a result of Toto Wolff selling a 15 percent share of his Motorsport Invest Ltd holding company, which is registered in Guernsey. This equates to five percent of the F1 team - valuing the business at a new F1 record of $6 billion.
