Formula 1’s mandatory FP1 sessions, in which teams must occasionally give rookies a run, are always intriguing. They offer young racers a valuable chance to demonstrate their talent under real Grand Prix conditions. In Mexico, no fewer than nine rookies took part. While not all of them were free to push for outright lap times, the standout performer once again was Briton Arvid Lindblad, who delivered the most impressive performance of the day.
