You need to be a pretty special guy to deliberately run low downforce in the quest for victory at Spa, and Max Verstappen was exactly that man as he grabbed the lead early on and beat the McLarens in Red Bull’s first non-Christian run. It was a largely dull race with little overtaking, but a very satisfying way for Laurent Mekies to begin his new career for the Big Team
