Max Verstappen wowed not only the crowds at Suzuka in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix. He also wowed his opponents with an astonishing lap that allowed him to grab pole position with the very difficult Red Bull RB21 ahead of the faster McLarens. Max’s engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, called it “insane”, while team boss Christian Horner described it as “one of his best laps in qualifying ever”.
