There wasn’t much time between Japan and Bahrain, but conditions could hardly have been more different. The heat and abrasive surface at Sakhir made life complicated as teams worked to find the right set-ups. The circuit is tough on brakes and, with wind often blowing sand across the track, it’s hard to find—and keep—the balance. With today’s tiny margins, the swings are dramatic.
