The Australian fans in Albert Park were getting ready to celebrate pole position for the local hero Oscar Piastri, but in the dying seconds of the Q3 session in Melbourne, Lando Norris kept it all together and pipped his team-mate to the post by the tiny margin of 0.084s. And that made it a McLaren 1-2 - as expected. Max Verstappen was 0.385s behind.
