Lando Norris’s race engineer is Will Joseph (42), who has been at McLaren for his entire career, having joined the team straight from university in 2006. That was shortly after he graduated from St Catherine’s College, Cambridge, with a Masters’ degree in aerothermal and aerospace engineering, a course that covers subjects including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, structures and control systems, and propulsion.
