At the start of every Grand Prix, 21 cars accelerate off the grid. The one at the back is always the F1 Medical Car, racing after the F1 cars to be at the scene of any accident as quickly as possible. These days Australia’s Karl Reindler (40) drives the Medical Car at around half the Grands Prix each season.
