CHARACTER REFERENCE - ANDY HONE
3 min read time
Andy Hone (38) is a distinctive figure in the Formula 1 paddock at most races, thanks to his dramatic mohawk hairstyle — which the British call a “mohican.” Hone has worked in F1 for 20 years, in recent seasons as a team photographer with Haas and Sauber. He is regularly a finalist in the World Sports Photography Awards and won the top prize in 2021 for a photograph of Romain Grosjean’s Bahrain crash. He was also a finalist in the National Geographic Traveller Photography Competition with an image of footballers at sunset on a beach in Myanmar.
