Qualifying in Baku was messy with no fewer than six red flags in the (supposedly) hour-long session, which meant that the chequered flag did not come out until close to two hours after the session began. There was rain and sunshine (sometimes simultaneously) and gusts of wind which sent some usually solid drivers into the barriers. But through it all sailed the supernatural Flying Dutchman Max Verstappen, solid as a rock. The rest of the grid was a real jumble. Good news for Sunday — and for Max.
